I am watching the first episode of Hawaii-5-0, not being intellectually equal to anything more demanding.

Guys, this show is so bad.

I came this -><- close to watching it last night for much the same reason, except that due to our having been watching The Sing Off on delay for dinner it was already 20 minutes in and I decided I'd rather not watch the rest of a Chopped episode I might have already seen (I had) than not watch the rest of a show with plot I expected to be bad. Don't know if I made the right choice or not.

I'm now watching the second episode, and it's slightly less painful when they aren't setting up terrible backstory. They spent some time trying to explain why they're going to be super-special modern police, not bound by the normal rules, and while I appreciate the effort, it wasn't exactly very believable.

But yeah, I'll keep watching mostly because it's one of fandom's newest darlings, and because it's the kind of month where I can use some candy television.
